Tessellated floors are formed from tiles of various size, shape and colour that fit together to produce a strongly geometric pattern that is repetitive. There are borders, panels, encaustics, step treads and coving tiles to complement the large range of tessellated patterns. This type of tile is suitable for heritage and traditional settings. It is also possible to use simple patterns to transform a room in a more modern and contemporary style home. Tessellated floors are suitable for: All indoor residential application Light and heavy commercial application External areas including wet areas such as pool surrounds and interiors Pathways and verandahs At Ballarat Tiles, our tessellated tiles are all vitrified porcelain. They are fired at extremely high temperatures, are very dense and are in the very low porosity range. The patterns and borders are supplied as both loose in pieces and on a sheet that is approximately 30cm x 30cms
